Frankie Gets Involved...
As seen and heard on The Saturday's new reality show, 'What goes on tour. . .' Frankie's in on the DoItLikeADude movement!
''when i see fans with my boy hair, its amazing, so flattering . . . go on girls lets chop it off''
HANNA
From the moment the film begins you can feel this will be memorable. 'I just missed your heart' the opening and closing lines of the film, set the tone for this action packed, thrilling ride of a movie. Saoirse Ronan delivers a immaculate and impressive interpretation of her character and completely commands the attention of the audience throughout the entire film. Her naturally innocent face and elf like features make her flawless and brutal character all the more endearing. The soft central scenes of the film and her friendships with the traveling family show she is a product of her environment and not innately dangerous. There are touches of humor as well, 'Hanna how did your mother die?' '3 bullets' that made the audience uproar with laughter. These moments contrasts with the dark and evil character that Tom Hollander plays for example. Summing up the plot, this film should (in stereotypical conventions of film character) have cast a male to play the main protagonist, and maybe an older one at that. But they didn't and it works. The film would have lost its appeal and its rarity if this had happened. With truly breathtaking pieces of cinematography (deer/snow/her) fluttering through its pace against one of the most current sound tracks for years, Hanna (Ronan) keeps it real and believable and truly kicks arse (for once) doing it like a girl!

Royal Dudes
The country/world have been going Royal Wedding crazy pre and post last weekends big event, with fashionistas bursting with excitement with anticipation of Kate's dress. Absolutely stunning. However lets not forget the boys! Prince William and Prince Harry, who did not disappoint in their attire, William with his striking red and Harry's regal and mature style, had me inspired! In honor of them and all are soldier boys around the world I have found these military gems on ASOS.com ( and even better some are in the sale! YAY! )

Favorites have to include the boys vintage bomber jacket, very This Is England, and the 'sale' capes. Also LOVE these beautiful DoItLikeADude inspired outfits.

Getting Girlie!
To 'Do It Like A Dude' you don't have just have to steal your brothers band T-shirts and rock them better than he ever would, it is also about finding female items with a male twist and incorporating them into your normal wardrobe. For the ladies who would rather die than be seen rummaging through a boys HnM rail, this is the perfect way for you to embrace your inner dude.
For example check these beauties out, Primark's ladies boat-shoes, released in a limited batch but in a variety of colours, they flew of the shelves so hopefully they will be back, and I luckily managed to get my hands on these 2 pairs of lovely laces! x

The Rules!
'Do it like a Dude' isn't necessarily about going into say Topman and literally becoming a man! It's about grabbing the odd piece, from the sale rail or even better 'the boyfriend rail' and mixing it up with your own wardrobe and giving it a female edge. Take these beauties found on MrPorter, Burberry Prorsum's Slim Fit Tailored Trousers, for example, turn up the hems, team with some Office loafers and a floaty tee, swing a blazer over your shoulder and off you trot, Middleton, eat your heart out! Whilst browsing MrPorter, take a glance at Balmain's Slim Fit Leather Trousers... if he can look that good, IMAGINE the damage you could do! x
Introduction
I have always been the 'tomboyish' one in my group of beautiful friends (my current coat; Topman's last season's duffel) so when I opened up this weeks Grazia (03.05.11) and found (on page 67) I was suddenly COOL, it gave me the push (and confidence) to share my thoughts on the idea of fe'male' dressing AND with Jessie J backing me all the way i thought 'how can i loose?!' . . .
